138 Mr. M. Kitt asked the Minister for Education the primary schools or groups of schools in County Galway that have a remedial teacher and/or resource teacher; and the proposals, if any, she has to appoint such teachers in County Galway in the near future. [18134/95]
A total of 121 primary schools in County Galway have access to a remedial teacher service and 32 primary schools in the county have the support of a resource teacher. Details of the individual schools in question will be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as possible.
I can assure the Deputy that applications for remedial and resource teacher posts from primary schools in the Galway area will be given every consideration when I am next in a position to make further posts available.
