Question:

39 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Health the current position on the erection of a replacement hospital at St. Joseph's, Dungarvan, County Waterford; and the time schedule involved. [18130/95]

, Limerick East): I have conveyed approval to the South-Eastern Health Board for the building of a 27 bed nursing unit plus day care facilities at St. Joseph's, Dungarvan. This is regarded as Phase I of an overall programme for the complex.

Planning permission has been sought from the local Urban District Council and it is expected that work will commence in the first half of 1996. Construction time is estimated at about 9 months.
