Byrne asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the vacant obstetrician/gynaecologist post in the Wexford Maternity Gynaecology Unit has not yet been filled; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the previous obstetrician/gynaecologist retired on 20 February 1994; if his attention has been drawn to the urgency of such an appointment; when will the appointment be made; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
