145 Mr. M. Ahern asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he has satisfied himself with the decision by Teagasc to phase out the commercial service which it provided in blood analysis and forage analysis; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18878/95]

It is a matter for Teagasc to prioritise the allocation of the resources at its disposal between the various activities and programmes for which it is responsible. I am aware that Teagasc is reviewing its laboratory analytical services. I understand that no decisions have yet been taken in the matter.
