Vol. 459 No. 7

Written Answers. - Knockanore (Waterford) School.

Godfrey Timmins

Question:

34 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Education if she will provide a permanent extension rather than prefabricated accommodation at Knockanore national school, Knockanore, County Waterford; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [18460/95]

In August 1995, my Department agreed to provide grant-aid towards the cost of a double pre-fabricated classroom at the school referred to by the Deputy.

The school indicated that they were considering building a permanent extension and using the grant-aid to offset the cost. My Department has no difficulty with this and is awaiting the school's decision in the matter.
