In line with the Government's commitment to provide for a toxic release inventory, section 64 of the Waste Management Bill, 1995 contains strengthened provisions for the making available of information on releases of specified substances into the environment based on the concept of mass-balance accounting. It is intended that these provisions, when enacted, will be operated by the Environmental Protection Agency.
