453 Mr. E. Byrne asked the Minister for Justice the plans, if any, she has to examine the establishment of a parole board as indicated in the programme A Government of Renewal; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [1457/96]
The establishment of a parole board is among a number of issues being examined at present in accordance with the commitment contained at Par. 119 of the Programme for Government, published in December 1994. The outcome of this examination will be brought before the Government for its consideration, as soon as possible.
