Vol. 460 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Written Answers. - Physical Education Facilities.

Eric J. Byrne

Question:

70 Mr. E. Byrne asked the Minister for Education, in relation to the provision of a physical education hall for St. Mac Dara's Community College, Dublin 6W, when the £30,000 allocated for the project at the planning fees stage will be spent; whether her attention has been drawn to parental concerns regarding the lack of reasonable progress; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [1504/96]

I am aware of parental concerns in relation to the provision of the proposed physical education hall for St. Mac Dara's Community College. At present the planning and building unit of my Department is considering the design team nominated by County Dublin vocational education committee and its observations will be conveyed to the vocational education committee as soon as possible. Further developments in relation to this and other projects will be considered in the context of the 1996 capital programme.
