72 Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Education if she will allocate a remote areas grant to the children of a person (details supplied) in County Galway in view of the fact that they are eligible for school transport. [1523/96]
Remote area transport grants are payable to families living more than three miles from their nearest appropriate school and services to the school. As the family in question resides less than three miles from their nearest appropriate school, my Department is not in a position to sanction grant-aid as requested.
