Vol. 460 No. 6

Written Answers. - Dublin Special School Place.

Tony Gregory

Question:

175 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education if she will have arrangements made to have a place provided for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 10 in a special school appropriate to his needs in view of the fact that he is out of school since June 1995, in spite of the best efforts of his mother to find him a place. [1769/96]

I have requested my Department's school inspector to arrange a suitable educational placement for this child as soon as possible. I understand that an application for enrolment on behalf of this child has been made to the school in question. The school has no vacanies at present and the child is on the school's waiting list for enrolment.
