66 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Finance the current budget deficit in 1994 and 1995; the total Exchequer borrowing in 1994 and 1995; and the total public sector borrowing in 1994 and in 1995 expressed as the total amount and as a percentage of GNP and GDP. [3285/96]

The CBD for 1994 reflects one-off factors such as the tax amnesty proceeds and the application of previous year NTMA savings, while for 1995 the data reflect equal treatment and hepatitis C payments.
