95 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for the Environment the current number of personnel working in his ministerial offices and the office of his Minister(s) of State; the number of personnel seconded or employed on a non-established contract basis; the competition process for filling such positions; the advertisements, if any, regarding these appointments; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The numbers are as follows:—

*Includes two part-time staff filling one post.

There were no advertisements or competitions in relation to the contract or seconded posts except in the case of the post of personal secretary to the Minister of State, Deputy McManus. In this case, suitable local people were invited to attend for interview before the job-sharing appointments were made.
