I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Shortall — the need to require primary and second level schools to notify the Department of Education of cases where children are expelled or refused entry; (2) Deputy Lynch — the need to standardise hourly wage rates for home help in all health board areas; (3) Deputy Theresa Ahearn — the need to designate as disadvantaged the Presentation Convent primary school, Carrick-on-Suir, County Tipperary; (4) Deputy Tom Foxe — the question of the renewal of the contracts of two officials in the Teagasc advisory service in Countries Longford and Leitrim; (5) Deputy Gregory — the absence of any psychological or counselling service for three primary schools (details supplied) in Dublin 10 and the consequent educational disadvantage for many of the children concerned; (6) Deputy Keogh — the reasons for the reported decisions not to proceed with investigations into five separate allegations of sexual abuse of children in County Wexford; (7) Deputy Geoghegan-Quinn — the action which the Minister for Health proposes to take to avert further action in, and escalation of, the dispute involving hospital workers; (8) Deputy Lawlor — the need to address the question of the availability of post-primary school places in the Lucan area of County Dublin.

The matters raised by the following Deputies have been selected for discussion: Deputies Geoghegan-Quinn, Shortall, Keogh and Tom Foxe.
