Question:78 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for the Environment what plans, if any, he has to provide a sewerage treatment plant for Skibbereen town, County Cork. [4114/96]
Written Answers. - Skibbereen (Cork) Sewerage Scheme.
My Department has requested Cork County Council to prepare sludge management proposals on the basis of the National Sludge Strategy Study and I have recently approved proposals by the council to appoint consultants to assist them in this task. My Department has also asked that the preliminary report for the Skibbereen sewerage scheme should be reviewed having regard to its sludge management implications.
