Micheál Martin

Question:

81 Mr. Martin asked the Minister for Education who authorised the investigation of all the 11,000 art entries for the 1995 leaving certificate art examination following the discovery of an error in the correction of art examination papers submitted by girls in Ursuline Convent in Sligo; the precise date on which it was authorised; and how long it took to complete the investigation. [4067/96]

The instruction to carry out an investigation of the marks of the 11,000 art candidates was given on 15 December 1995 by an assistant secretary of my Department. The investigation was carried out between 15 and 20 December 1995.

Micheál Martin

Question:

82 Mr. Martin asked the Minister for Education if she will give a commitment to Dáil Éireann that the independent Price Waterhouse inquiry into the failure to give credit to 49 students for the craftwork section of the 1995 leaving certificate art examination will be published in its entirety and copies made available to Members following its completion.
