Question:

133 Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the different rules governing the operation of the local improvement scheme in different county council areas; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4528/96]

The administration of the local improvements scheme is devolved to county councils subject to the provisions of the Local Government (Roads & Drainage) Act, 1968, and to general guidelines issued by my Department.
