Question:173 Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for Education the total funds allocated under the recreational facilities scheme in each county, in each of the years since 1992. [4524/96]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 160 and 173 together.
The information in the format requested by the Deputies is not readily available and it would be necessary to divert staff to compile the information for each year. This would take an inordinate amount of time which could not be justified having regard to the scarce staff resources available.
Details of the amounts allocated to projects in each county in 1995 under the recreational facilities scheme is contained in the Official Report of 13 February 1996 in reply to Parliamentary Question No. 147.
The Deputies may also wish to refer to the annual report of the Comptroller and Auditor General and the Appropriation Accounts which contain payment details in respect of this scheme. My Department is currently compiling the information for the 1995 report which will be available in due course.
