The report of the consultants I have commissioned to undertake an Economic Evaluation of Insurance Costs in Ireland is at present in course of finalisation.
My Department is maintaining close liaison with the consultants to ensure that the report fulfills the requirements of the terms of reference for sound conclusions and recommendations based on expert analysis and evaluation.
My overriding concern is to ensure that the data, analysis, conclusions and recommendations in the report provide a sound basis for future policy and action in the area of insurance costs.
