Question:

196 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice the average number of calls for assistance made to the Bridewell Garda station, Dublin 7, per week; and the average time it takes to send a car in response to such calls. [4923/96]

The average number of calls per week and response times by foot and mobile patrols for the Bridewell Garda station area are set out in the following table. The figures include calls received on the ‘999' system relating to incidents in the Bridewell area and calls received at the Bridewell Garda station. These figures are based on the number of calls received during the month of January 1996. All calls are assessed in relation to seriousness of the incident and prioritised accordingly.
