110 Mr. N. Treacy asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason he has not sanctioned an application by an organisation (details supplied) in County Galway; the date on which this application arrived in the relevant offices; the reason for the delay; if he will sanction this application; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5347/96]
An application was received in my Department in a letter dated 25 January 1996 from the trustees of the organisation in question. My Department is currently examining the proposal and in this context is carrying out a review of the trust to establish whether the purpose for which the trust was originally set up is still relevant.
My officials will be in touch with the trustees as soon as this review is completed.
