47 Mr. Callely asked the Taoiseach the invitations, if any, to functions or briefings that have issued from his office or the office of the Minister of State(s) at his Department seeking funds for party purposes where a cover charge applied; and if so, when these invitations issued. [5874/96]

No such invitations seeking funds have been issued from the Taoiseach's office. No such invitations seeking funds have been issued from the offices of Ministers of State Higgins, Mitchell, Carey or Doyle in the Taoiseach's Department.

48 Mr. Callely asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs the invitations, if any, to functions or briefings that have issued from his office or the office of the Minister of State(s) at his Department seeking funds for party purposes where a cover charge applied; and if so, when these invitations issued. [5878/96]

Invitations were issued from the constituency office of the Minister of State at the Office of the Tánaiste to one fund-raising lunch to be held on 28 March next. These invitations were dated 28 February and issued on 4 March this year. This function has now been cancelled.
