Vol. 463 No. 1

Written Answers. - Payment of Tax.

Tony Gregory

Question:

49 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Finance if he will have arrangements made for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 7 who is on a disablement pension to have his tax paid in monthly instalments. [5858/96]

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that there is a scheme for payment of tax by direct debit which is designed to spread payments evenly throughout the calendar year.

In this regard if the taxpayer contacts the Office of the Collector General, Direct Debit Scheme, Sarsfield House, Francis Street, Limerick, telephone 061 310310, I understand that the necessary arrangements will be made to enable him to avail of the scheme.
