Question:

86 Mr. Cowen asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the articles written by his public relations consultants McMahon Sheedy Limited for provincial newspapers; the name of the paper(s) and date of publication in respect of each article; if he will elaborate on his previous reply in respect of this information, namely that this information was not available in view of a shortage of staff in his Department to collate this information; whether this information was readily available on request to McMahon Sheedy Limited: whether he requested McMahon Sheedy Limited for this information in view of previous statements made by him in his replies to previous parliamentary questions by Deputy Cowen. The purpose of these articles is to ensure that farm families have full information on all schemes and policies operated by my Department. It is an integral part of the Charter of Rights for Farmers and ensures that essential information is disseminated to the maximum number of farmers.

The articles referred to have appeared on a regular or occasional basis in the following provincial papers:
