Vol. 464 No. 1

Written Answers. - Land Registry Query.

Máire Geoghegan-Quinn

Question:

92 Mrs. Geoghegan-Quinn asked the Minister for Justice when a decision will be made regarding an application (details supplied) to the Land Registry in County Galway. [7736/96]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this dealing is an application for first registration. I understand that, due to their complicated nature, these dealings can take some time to process.

The Registrar of Titles has informed me that the present position in relation to this dealing is that queries were issued by the Land Registry to the applicant's solicitor on 12 March 1996 and a reply is awaited to these queries. The application cannot proceed until these queries are fully dealt with.

I can inform the Deputy that, on receipt of a reply to the queries issued, the matter will be expedited by the Land Registry.
