Vol. 464 No. 6

Written Answers. - Grant Payment.

Jim Mitchell

Question:

120 Mr. J. Mitchell asked the Minister for the Environment whether a person (details supplied) in Dublin 8 will be entitled to a first time purchaser's grant. [8622/96]

A new house grant is payable to a first-time purchaser of a new house who fulfils the conditions of the grant scheme, which require, inter alia, that the applicant did not previously purchase, individually or with a spouse, a house for their own occupation in this State or abroad. It is not possible to determine whether or not a particular person would be eligible for a grant until an application and supporting documentation is received in the Department.
