115 Mr. J. Mitchell asked the Minister for Education if she will make a statement on the future of St. Gabriel's girls national school, Cowper Street, Dublin 7; and whether the buildings now used by the girls school are to be knocked down following the merger of the boys school with the girls school. The boards of management of St. Gabriel's girls and boys schools have notified my Department of their intention to amalgamate with effect from 1 June 1996. The building of St. Gabriel's girls school is not owned by my Department. I am therefore not in a position to comment on any future plans the board of management may have for the building.
