Vol. 465 No. 2

Written Answers. - School Repairs.

Joe Walsh

Question:

114 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for Education if she will have arrangements made for an architect to visit a school (details supplied) in County Cork to assess the windows in the building with regard to their suitability and safety. [9360/96]

The board of management of this school have made applications to my Department for grant aid in respect of roof and window repairs. The building unit's technical staff have examined the consultant architect's report in respect of these works and the school authority have been requested to supply additional information in order for this application to be considered further. Upon receipt of this information, my Department's senior architect may consider it necessary to visit the school.
