Written Answers. - EU Peace Fund.
Under the special Support Programme for Peace and Reconciliation in Northern Ireland and the Border Counties of Ireland 1995-1999, sub-programme 3 Measure 1 specifically relates to cross-Border development in the areas of business and cultural linkages. Under European Regional Development Fund funding this measure of 5.437 MECU is provided for projects in this jurisdiction. This funding will not be channelled through my Department but through an intermediary funding body, .i. Co-operation North in association with CBI (Northern Ireland) and IBEC.
