Vol. 466 No. 1

Written Answers. - Kilbeggan (Westmeath) Fire Station.

Mary O'Rourke

Question:

117 Mrs. O'Rourke asked the Minister for the Environment the amount of money which has been allocated from his Department to Westmeath County Council for the Kilbeggan fire station; the total cost of the project; when he intends to allocate further funding in respect of this project; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10825/96]

Proposals submitted recently by Westmeath County Council for a new fire station in Kilbeggan, at an estimated cost of approximately £275,000, are under consideration in my Department and a decision will issue to the county council shortly. The question of funding for the proposed station does not arise at this stage.
