Vol. 466 No. 1

Written Answers. - Crumlin (Dublin) School.

Eric J. Byrne

Question:

140 Mr. E. Byrne asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the semi-derelict condition of the former CBS primary school on Armagh Road, Crumlin, Dublin 12; the plans, if any, the Christian Brothers or her Department have for this building in view of the fact that it lies empty and has been semi-derelict for a number of years; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [10783/96]

I am aware of the condition of the vacant wing of the CBS primary school, Armagh Road, Dublin 12.

It is proposed to locate a section of Scoil Eoin special school, Armagh Road, in this vacant wing. To facilitate this proposal I have included a refurbishment project in my Department's 1996 planning programme.

My Department has recently written to the Scoil Eoin authorities with a view to progressing the planning stages of the project.
