Vol. 466 No. 1

Written Answers. - UDC Domestic Grant Level Problem.

Rory O'Hanlon

Question:

107 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the problem regarding the level of the domestic grant to Castleblayney Urban District Council; the plans, if any, he has to address this situation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10739/96]

This year, all local authorities have been allocated a rate support grant which is approximately 2.4 per cent up on that provided in 1995. It is not possible, at this stage, to either increase the allocation of £42,000 to Castleblayney UDC or to improve the specially phased payment arrangements.
