Written Answers. - Pre-1921 Legislation.
Because of the enormous body of legislation for which my Department and the agencies under the aegis of my Department have responsibility or which are policed by them, it is not possible to give a fully comprehensive reply. I have set out the primary pieces of pre-1921 legislation which are still operated by my Department and the various agencies under the aegis of my Department. There may be other Acts not repealed, in full or in part, by post-1921 legislation but it would take an inordinate amount of time and require the services of a legal expert to establish the existence or otherwise of such Acts. The Index to the Statutes 1922 to 1982 and supplement for 1983 to 1985 should be consulted for more information.
