Question:

140 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason for the delay in dealing with an application lodged in relation to a farm retirement scheme in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Cork. [11852/96]

The application in this case was not fully completed until 2 May 1996. It has now been processed and the pension will commence at the end of June with effect from 2 May 1996.

141 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when an application for payment under the farm retirement scheme will be approved in respect of persons (details supplied) in County Cork. [11853/96]

The applications in this case have been approved and payment of the pensions will commence at the end of June with effect from 21 December 1995.
