147 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Justice if she will have arrangements made to expedite the application of a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim for registration, on whose behalf documents were lodged with the Land Registry on 14 March 1996. [12307/96]
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this is an application for first registration lodged in the Land Registry on 22 March 1996. I understand that, due to their complicated nature, these dealings can take some time to process.
The Registrar has informed me that the position in relation to this dealing is that queries were issued by the Land Registry to the applicant's solicitor on 30 May 1996 to which a reply is awaited.
I can inform the Deputy that, on receipt of a reply to the queries issued, the matter will be expedited by the Land Registry.
