Written Answers. - Moville (Donegal) Treatment Works.

Cecilia Keaveney

Question:

177 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for the Environment the funding, if any, his Department will make available to provide a small treatment works for Moville, County Donegal, which while awaiting a major scheme for more than a lifetime, is in urgent need of interim measures. [12534/96]

Donegal County Council has not submitted proposals to my Department for a small treatment works of this kind for Moville. With regard to the proposed Moville-Greencastle sewerage scheme, my Department has approved the use of a hydrodynamic and water quality computer model to determine the impact on the receiving waters for the purpose of completing a revised preliminary report.
