76 Mr. Shatter asked the Minister for Education if she will sanction funding in respect of Phase II of the refurbishment and extension to Scoil Lorcan Naofa, Kilmacud, Dublin 20; and the current position in relation to this matter. [12054/96]
The board of management of Scoil Lorcán Naofa, Kilmacud, Dublin 20, applied for grant-aid for major refurbishment works to be carried out to the older section of the school building and the provision of two new classrooms to replace existing small rooms.
An inspector's report in the matter has recently been received and is under examination at present. My Department will be in contact with the board as soon as this examination is completed. The funding of any refurbishment works would have to be looked at in terms of future capital allocations and other priority projects, and I am not in a position to give an undertaking at present.
