183 Mr. Martin asked the Minister for Education if she will investigate complaints concerning the poor quality of the recording used in the aural section of the 1996 junior certificate music examination; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [13389/96]
The Examinations Branch of the Department received no complaint from any centre in the country regarding the quality of the tape in the junior certificate music aural examination 1996. In fact much favourable comment was received from teachers and the newspapers carried clarifications refuting complaints ascribed to individual teachers in their reports on the examination which had been carried in previous editions of the papers.
