Question:155 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for the Environment whether he will sanction funding for phase five of the public sewer which serves Aghilly in Buncrana, County Donegal. [14178/96]
Written Answers. - Buncrana (Donegal) Sewerage Scheme.
A proposal to extend the proposed Buncrana sewerage scheme to additional areas on the outskirts of the town, including Aghilly, is with my Department for consideration. The Buncranna sewerage scheme was included in the application for financial assistance from the Cohesion Fund in respect of the Swilly catchment water quality management scheme but is not among the elements approved by the Commission to date. In the circumstances, I cannot indicate when funding will be available for the scheme.
