995 Mr. B. Smith asked the Minister for the Marine the projects, if any, in inland fisheries that will be assisted in 1996 under the Operational Programme for Tourism, 1994 to 1999; the funding to be allocated per project; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16033/96]
The tourism angling measure of the operational programme for tourism provides for total investment of almost £19 million in the development of the tourism angling product in the period to the year 2000. I have already announced some 54 projects, involving total expenditure of almost £7.7 million, under this measure.
Some 22 projects, involving total investment of almost £1.5 million, have been approved to date in 1996. The details sought in this regard by the Deputy are set out in the following table.
