107 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Education if recognition will be given to the National Diploma in Health Studies in the North West Institute of Higher and Further Education, County Derry in order that grant assistance will be given to students who take this course. [17065/96]

Courses at BETC higher national diploma level or equivalent offered at approved colleges in Northern Ireland may qualify for recognition under the scholarships scheme operated by vocational education committees. The course in question is not of such level.
