Vol. 469 No. 3

Written Answers. - Ballyshannon (Donegal) School.

Mary Coughlan

Question:

129 Miss Coughlan asked the Minister for Education the current position regarding the proposed community school for Ballyshannon, County Donegal. [17331/96]

The position is that a new community school building is to be provided in Ballyshannon, County Donegal, to facilitate an amalgamation of the existing postprimary facilities in Ballyshannon and Bundoran.

The architectural planning of the new school building is currently proceeding. Officials from the planning and building unit of my Department have had discussions with the design team in relation to the stage 3 submission. My Department is currently awaiting revised documentation in this regard.
