168 Mrs. Geoghegan-Quinn asked the Minister for Justice the number of transport companies invited to tender for the provision of transport services during EU ministerial visits and meetings; the name of each company; whether bus, taxi, hackney or limousine service companies were employed to provide such services, which did not have to go through a tender procedure; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The number of transport companies invited to tender for the provision of transport services during EU ministerial visits and meetings was four. The four companies were as follows:

Bus Éireann;

Murray's Chauffeur Drive Ltd.;

Hynes Chaffeur Drive;

ECL Chauffer Drive.

ECL did not come back with a price.

Bus Éireann and Murray's Chauffeur Drive Ltd. were employed to provide the service.
