Question:247 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for Justice the estimated value of property stolen in the State in 1995; and the way in which this total compares with the values for each of the past five years.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that the information in relation to the value of property stolen is published in the Garda Commissioner's annual report on crime, copies of which are available in the Oireachtas Library.
