69 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Finance the proportion of moneys allocated to date, as against the amount originally available in 1996, under the EU peace and reconciliation funding; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18895/96]
The total amount of funding committed in respect of the Border region under the special EU programme for peace and reconciliation in Northern Ireland and the Border counties of Ireland to the end of September 1996 is £27.776 million.
The total amount of public funding estimated for 1996 in the programme originally was £25.6 million.
