Question:

55 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Taoiseach the number of people under 18 years, by county, currently living in Ireland as per the last census figures. [18929/96]

The most recent census for which the information requested is available is that of 1991. The following table gives, on a county basis, the number of usual residents aged less than 18 years who where enumerated in the 1991 Census of Population. Corresponding information from the 1996 census will be available in the second half of 1997.
