27 Miss Quill asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications whether he has received any communication from the Department of Finance following the submission of a report on the level of expenses and other non-pay elements of the semi-State Chief Executives' Employment Contract referred to in his reply to parliamentary questions on 2 July 1996; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As I informed the House on 2 July last, my Department was requested by the Department of Finance to submit a summary of the review we had carried out into the level of expenses and other non-pay elements of chief executives' employment contracts.
This information was to form part of a report for Government being prepared by the Department of Finance.
The latest information available to me is that this report is currently in the process of being finalised.
