Written Answers. - Voluntary Early Retirement.
Because the voluntary early retirement scheme was oversubscribed, it was not possible to offer VER to everyone who applied. The person referred to by the Deputy was eligible to apply for voluntary early retirement. However, it was not possible to offer him VER this year. It is proposed to offer further voluntary early retirement places next year.
