97 Ms O'Donnell asked the Minister for Health the number of new consultant and non-consultant hospital doctor posts which have been sanctioned by Comhairle na nOspidéal in 1996; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20635/96]
Limerick East): The number of new consultant and non-consultant hospital doctor posts sanctioned to date in 1996 by Comhairle na nOspidéal is 22 and 11 respectively.
In respect of non-consultant hospital doctor posts Comhairle na nOspidéal's remit extends solely to senior registrar positions.
