Question:

131 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the important facility provided for students with a disability at Our Lady's Secondary School, Castleblaney, County Monaghan; the plans, if any, she has to improve the accommodation for these students; when funding will be provided in this regard; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [20554/96]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 130 and 131 together.

My Department has approved in principle the provision of additional accommodation in a permanent structure at Our Lady's Secondary School, Castleblaney, County Monaghan.

The accommodation to be provided was agreed by the school authority.

The project is currently at Stage 4, detail design of the architectural planning process. This extension project is one of a number being considered for inclusion in the capital programme.
