77 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to a demand for additional MRI scanners; his views on the campaign by Temple Street Children's Hospital for an on-site scanner; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20514/96]

Limerick East): The requirements of the health service for magnetic resonance imaging services is being assessed on a national basis at this time. When the results of this assessment are known I will be in a position to make decisions in relation to individual cases.
